Hello, I just came across this site as I was researching Pvt. Rufus Rockwell of Owego NY as my Great, Great Grandfather. I was speaking today to my Great Aunt Edith Rockwell Miller who is 97. She told me about her grandfather who served in the civil war and showed me ribbons and documents from his 109th NY Regiment Reunion. I was surprised to find this site and would like to get more information on this subject and Pvt. Rockwell.

Hello again, I have been speaking with My Great Aunt Edith Evelyn (Rockwell) Miller who is the daughter Lester Rockwell son of Rufus Rockwell. We have enjoyed reading your blog and have some information to add to your blog that you seem to be missing. We would very much like to get in contact with you to fill in the gaps.
The first bit of information that Aunt Eda would like to add is her father Lester had another younger sister named Maud. Aunt Eda has other information including pictures of her Aunt Maud. Additionally she has more information on the children that Rufus Rockwell had before the War who died during the War. She has their names and ages, they were one girl and two boys.

My Aunt Eda is the older sister of my maternal Grandmother Helen Rockwell Tobin who died on October 2, 2006. She still resides in Clyde NY in the same home as her parents Lester and Viola Rockwell. Aunt Eda was born on December 6, 1913.

Again any additional information that you could provide is would be greatly appreciated and welcomed. We look forward to hearing from you and possibly speaking with you. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely Jeremiah DeWolf
