What I immediately noticed was that a very thoughtful person printed on the photograph who is in the picture. I wish everyone did that....

That very thoughtful person was my great-grandmother, Lillian Fern (STRONG) HOEKSTRA, mother of Ruth and Hope. She was an invalid the last few years of her life, and she left a treasure for her descendants by using her confinement to fill out a blank Family Record book and label many photographs. Thanks to her, I know much about the family history of both her own family and my great-grandfather's family.
