Miriam,
My name is Eileen, and I am a direct descendant from the Wyckoff line. I found your site when I came across the Mary Wyckoff sampler. Is that something that is in your possession? I would like to have your permission to reproduce it, if possible, or my interpretation of it, in cross-stitch. Please let me know if that's possible. I currently work at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, but my passion is antique samplers00and I was thrilled to see a sampler from one of my ancestors. Thank you. My email address is epatocka@ithaca.edu. Thanks for this post. I went to RootsTelevision and enjoyed listening to several of these pieces. I've read your blog for a while. Thought I would tell you that I appreciate your sharing of information.

Hi, Eileen,

Are you descended from Mary "Polly" Wyckoff Crothers Chappel? If so, she would be your ancestor; if not, she would be a distant cousin. I would love to hear how you are related!

Yes, you may reproduce this sampler; I've had another lady a few years ago also attempt to reproduce it.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Hi, Nancy,

I'm glad you enjoyed watching RootsTelevision. I always learn something new from that website! Megan Smolenyak has done a wonderful job with it.

Thank you, too, for reading my blog and for taking the time to comment today.
