This post is part of a ten-part series on Frugal Genealogy, based on my most-requested presentation, "Frugal Genealogy, or How Not to Spend a Fortune on Your Family Tree." Each post in this series will focus on one of ten topics I discuss in my presentation, and I freely share one tip from each topic. If you would like me to speak to your group anywhere in the Pacific Northwest on this or any other subject, please contact me.

Miriam, I completely agree with you. One thing I also did is to try the free trial memberships. It is a good way to really work with the site and see if the databases they have are going to be helpful to you before you spend any money. Some of the sites now have month to month memberships that can help too!
...and that would be another tip I would give out in my Frugal Genealogy presentation; except for this blog series I am only sharing ONE tip from each of the 10 categories! So, shhh! (wink)
